All of the spam emails analyzed by The Spam Register are ran through Spam Assassin, and those that are rated a score of 5.0 or higher are then passed through our custom scripts to be categorized.
Just as determining whether or not an email is considered spam, it is nearly as difficult to determine what category a spam email should fall under. This is due to spammers using snippets of text to fill a portion of their email with "normal" content, and their use of punctuation & jumbled letters to disguise words that would flag their email as spam. |
